Hi Everyone!

You may have noticed a few things are looking different on the site - indeed its true! As I mentioned in a post about a year ago, I was eventually going to upgrade my server in many ways. Its been happening slowly, and finally the visible changes are underway. I've upgraded the server itself to the latest OS and gotten all the services working decently, and just recently I took the plunge and upgraded Drupal, the software that runs the whole site, to the latest release. 

The Drupal upgrade has caused many things to change. The visual "theme" I was using wasn't supported anymore, but I found this one which I like better anyway. Lots of the other modules and plugins I was using to customize the site were changed or made obsolete. As I get them reinstalled or worked around some of the missing things will reappear, others might not. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, just contact me.

Hopefully you'll find things a little easier to work with. Leaving comments still requires you to enter a couple of human-readable words, but the software that does that is better and serves an interesting larger purpose.

As always, while this is primarily a personal server, if you'd like an acct on it for a blog or photos, just let me know.
