I've had all the photos from my trip to Australia posted for a while, but of course the holidays have been upon us and I suck at keeping this thing up to date - so I'm finally announcing it.  You'll find them at http://notlost.org/gallery/v/chris/travels/Oz08/ where there's one album for each city I visited.

You'll also hoepfully notice that loading the photos is now much faster. The incredible slowdown was due to the visual theme I was using in the photo gallery and how it interacted with the gallery database. I switched to a similar, but simpler theme that is much smoother. 

 If you're looking and a photo or a gallery and want to see the options of what you can do with it - click on the "sidebar" link in the upper right, or the little icon with the right-pointing arrow in the upper left, and a menu of options will slide out. 

 I'm still planning to do some major upgrading of the server as I've been planning for a while. But its a big task, starting with upgrading the OS on the server itself, then upgrading Drupal (the sofware that runs the whole site) and Gallery, the embedded photo album software.  I've been hoping for a rainy weekend sometime soon when I can just plow through it, as it will take at least 2 full days of work. But alas, the sun has been shining here in the Bay Area, and I never want to spend a sunny weekend day sitting in front of my computer at home.  Maybe over the long weekend for MLK day...
