This view shows the wheel projecting from the side of the building. The bottom floor here is more of a basement, and is underground from the other side. The lack of solid doors on the upper floors allowed for the necessary ventilation - any notable quantity of flour floating is the air is actuallly explosive, so a breeze is a good thing!
